A nice treat from my local, my missus went in to get me some beers for my birthday and he slipped in this for free (I do spend quiet a lot in there) a siren barley wine 2014 realy nice sweet raisin and toffee notes with a nice woody finish.

Waiting for today's brew to come to the boil it's time to get a baseline taste in of the hoppy hazy pale ale packaged yesterday. Early signs are promising!

Is that pint only kegged yesterday. Can you get that fast of turn round
I kegged/bottled 25L that i'd already carbonated in my fermentasaurus - this was from one of the bottles. I'll try to give the keg a week before starting on it if I can

interested to know what you think of the citra. Was the first time I ever picked up on the cats **** connection although I love the hop.
I thought the Citra was really disappointing. It tasted like a lightly hopped Fosters. Really not great. Someone did mention elsewhere that it is a different beer when taken from the cask, so maybe there is hope yet!
The SNPA was awesome though! Very rounded, mature beer with subtle hoppiness, and the tiniest of bitterness right at the back.
