Hi guys,

I'm considering the idea of buying the following insulated mash tun (42 L) from Ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172510948226?ul_noapp=true

It seems pretty good, but I'm kind of concerned that that bazooka filter might potentially create blockages.

Also, I was offered this other used mash tun (also 42L) from a private owner for £50 delivery included, it's pretty worn out but should still work fine. He assured that it never got blocked out of 5 years of constant use.

What is your advice guys?

You couldn’t go wrong with either, but yes the manifold on the used one is a better design.

Always underlet your strike water, it’s another insurance policy again a stuck mash.
