Just thought I'd do a long term review of the Inkbird BBQ thermometer IBT-2X.
A great item! I use it as pictured to monitor my brew temp both heating and cooling. Also for heating my mash and sparge water and checking mash temp. Dead easy to use,link it to your phone via Bluetooth and a free app too if you like. Very handy for checking temp as you chill to flame out hops and pitch temp.
Although I got mine free through the forum from one of inkbirds promotion offers I would like to point out this is a true,non biased review of a nice reliable bit of kit. I've used mine for well over a year.
