Thanks for the advice, it actually feels good to finally get a handle on the water treatment side of things, it's gotta be an important part of brewing!

And i just found the water treatment calculator on the front page of the forum. How I missed that is beyond me,can't see the wood for the trees..

I love that guinness twang, As time goes on i'll look at lactic acid,but for now probably best stick to CaCL and CRS - moving forward I think i'll be conditioning my water for each brewstyle!
