Despite massively disliking politics... Thought I'd kill some time over my lunch break.

I’ve done this a few times and come out as a lefty libertarian (even though I don’t actually think I’m that much of a libertarian - I’m all for regulation of a lot of things)

WHAT IS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN BREWING BEER AS A HOBBY AND BEING RIGHT WING?
We're not a very right-wing bunch, so far, are we? Where are all the climate change deniers, no-dealers and Trump-loving mofos when you need them? I'm not surprised; I've always thought of beer as the working man's drink. In fact
beer should be free, like air and rain!

"There are inherent contradictions in this kind of argument. You can't have a welfare state without the money coming from somewhere to pay for it. You can't have liberty without there being a structure in place to uphold freedom. It's like pacifism: it only takes a small number of predators and all your thoroughgoing pacifists are meat. "

Does anyone have any idea where Lee Kuan Yew would have come on that chart?

Nice idea, AA, but if it were free someone would promptly start to pollute it and mess it up, just like they are messing up the air and the rain.

Just to test I tried answering as Hitler and got economic -4.75 and authoritarian 7.23 which I think is more accurate than they place him. But I can't work out how to post the graphics on this tablet.

I fall on the spot of Caroline Lucas. Had to look that up on Wikipedia 😮

I think green or not is actually a third axis. While green ideas are good, I don't like the Belgian greens very much, because they mostly work from viewpoint of technical and scientific ignorance.

Looks like I have shifted from last time

I think there is an error in how it calculates moral questions as just because I think something is bad it doesn't mean I want to force that view on others so I think I am less authoritarian than this suggests.

Hmm, I think this is rather generalised and inaccurate (well, of course it is, it's a multiple choice survey) but here's my result:

Now, my political views are so right wing that they would make the outlook of Nazi Germany appear profoundly liberal, there wasn't much scope there...I dunno, maybe I'm just 'complicated'.

Blimey I appear to have moved further to the left. I thought you were meant to get more right wing and authoritarian as you got older.
And yet no intention of voting Labour in the forseable future.

Me too, it’s worrying isn’t it that there seems to be no credible alternative for a lot of people to the chinless Tory wonders and their fellow neoliberal wannabes 😐
