Bought this a while ago and didn't open it. Not long ago I added half of that small bottle to my fermentation bin of Richies Stout. And boy o boy o boy. Does that stout now have something excellent to it. I tried a vanilla stout a few months ago in Wetherspoons and I can say what I did the other day with this stuff, it brought many memories back. Wasn't that expensive but a worthy pitch to a brew in my opinion.

I think perhaps 30 ml is a little too much as it ends up being a bit on the sweet side. Perhaps try 20 or 25 ml. It's ok with 30 ml, but I want to taste the stout a bit more than the vanilla. So may be a little less on reflection of tasting the beer today. It's a nice option though if you cannot get hold of vanilla pods which I seem to have difficulty in getting in my locall area.

I have also heard about using vanilla paste and have seen it in the supermarket with the extract. Anyone got any experience of using this?
