I noticed this the other day and haven't found a definite answer on how to get rid of it, i don't want to start messing with settings in the registry as some sites advise so for the time being i have switched to Opera which doesn't show the message, are members seeing this message and do any of you know how to fix it, i don't want to permanently ditch Chrome as its my favourite browser for PC and Laptop so i look forward to someone working it out or Google sorting it.

I'm not seeing it either. Are you using a work computer? That could be the reason for that manage by statement.
I'm on latest update of Chrome.

Yes, I see it too. But it does not bother me. My laptop is managed by me but I have two accounts - one admin and one user. Normally I am logged in as a user. If I log in as admin, I do NOT see that message.

Opera is now owned by the Chinese so try Vivaldi for peace of mind. It's developed by the people who created Opera.

I have been looking into this and it would appear they don't own it outright and the feeling in the security forums is there is nothing to worry about, to be honest i prefer it to Chrome so should i be more worried that the Chinese may be spying and is that more of a worry than what we already know Google get up to.

TBH i will use Edge for anything where security may be an issue but for normal day to day surfing i am happy using Opera.

He advises backing up the registry before making changes so you can go back if something unexpected happens, here is how -
