How's it going folks?
I'm a newbie to Brewing, for Christmas the missus got me a ticket to a one day Home Brewing course in a place called Maiden City Brewery here in Derry. To be honest I had no interest but now I'm hooked.
One of the guys running the course subsequently opened his own micro brewery right next door to my work so once I took the plunge i abused this lucky event to get loads of advice. I have some of his brew in my fridge so I'll post photos later. He brews under Rough Brothers & is doing well so far.
Anyhoo, I've brewed two batches of St. Peter's Cream Stout, the second is just about ready for road testing. I also have a batch of Mangrove Jack's Pale Ale to bottle tomorrow, I'm not 100% sure this had worked out.
Obviously these are all from Kits, the thought of moving on is daunting at the minute but I'm sure I'll do it.

Welcome to the forum. It was the same course that got me hooked a couple of years ago, and it was on the recommendation from Andrew that day that I decided to go for a grainfather when I moved to all grain.

Thanks for the welcome folks. @Lawrence22 I've been recommending the Course to people. Andrew is a star, lovely fella. He pointed me in the direction of this site. He's flat out at the minute building up his Brand.
@Gerryjo I wasn't sure how many Brewers there were about Town. To be honest I haven't met anyone Home Brewing. It's good to know there are others out there.

There's quite a few about and there is the Maiden City brewer's club though it doesn't meet too often and post via the NHC Ireland.
There's also a few on FB worth a look

Yes when I posted on the home-brew academy page that I had bought the Grainfather Andrew was the first to offer me any advice required. I know they have had a few home-brew meets at the Walled City Brewery, it's just a bit too far for me for an evenings travel. If they ever do a more advanced course though I'd be back.
