Started with the Off Tempo milkshake IPA..then tried a few of my own ..brown porter and AIPA...with a very average Indian takeaway...in fact it was ****!
I wonder why I bother....if only to get a rest from cooking stuff when we have guests..

Simply Gluten Free Pale Ale

Turned out great ,considering first attempt at home brew ,will definitely do another

Visiting my old Crystal Palace stomping ground and enjoying a pint of Gipsy Hill Hepcat, brewed about ten minutes walk away. Got to say its a v nice sessionable IPA.

No.1 son is losing by three card games to his Mum (and only drawing with me) so I'm celebrating with pint or three.

It's a Cherry Lager that's in its prime! It's pint No.3 of the afternoon as the first 10 litre Growler emptied after the first two! That's a bit worrying because I only have about 55 litres of brew left!

Anchor Brewing Baykeeper IPA - pretty good IPA
Cloudwater West Coast Pale Ale - bog standard, generic ****
The Kernel Imp Brown Stout - effing delicious
Buxton x Omnipollo Yellow Belly - outstanding
Arbor Breakfast Stout - effing delicious

I am proper disappointed with that Cloudwater beer. It is the first one of their beers that I have tried and, given their rep, was expecting so much more. £4 for a 440ml can of generic rubbish! I am not amused. I have another one of theirs in the fridge. A DDH pale ale. If that disappoints, I doubt I will be spending my money on their products again any time soon.

Agree re the CW West Coast Pale. Their drinks are generally of much better quality. How was the DDH Pale?

Cloudwater ddh series is where their best beers are.

In Penrith again tonight so sat in the fell taproom. Excellent selection. On my third different sour beer. Their bramble is best of the bunch so far.
