Haha I keep getting my timing wrong - got a stout in the FV not quite ready to be bottled, and down to my last few bottles of an English IPA/Golden ESB type thing (how do other folks categorize beers when their recipe plan goes wrong but the results are pretty good?!

I’m guilty of never having entered a beer in the competitions, hopefully last months low participation will encourage more people like me to get involved.

I wanted to send my black IPA into last month's competition but it was heavily oxidised and tasted of cardboard, with some some subtle pleasant hop characteristics.

I don't know what idiot wrote these rules , but most judges accept them basically up until judging day. They are more guidelines than laws.
