Owz it going?... well here is an update...

It has finished fermenting... OG 1.044 FV 1.018. Nice colour, taste very bland, it badly needs some flavour, which is rather surprising considering it fermented on the grain, I was expecting it to be much more malty. If anything it has a slight dishwater taste to it, this may improve on clearing. Not giving up though as it is still drinkable, not the best I've ever brewed but yet not the worse either. I've added half a sachet of Wilko's beer finning as I reckon this'll have difficulty in clearing. Probably bottle it at the weekend. :laugh8:

Time to update I thinks...
Funny hobby beer making, I thought that it had finished fermenting when visually there were no bubbles rising FG was 1018, seems that it was a cold night that stumped fermenting, easily tricked into that thinking. Well this morning I have bottled as FG now is 1011. In demijon the brew looked a little hazy but in bottles looks quite clear. Taste in the syphon tube was quite pleasant. Got eight swing top bottles, carbed with Coopers carbonation drops... now to leave to carbup and condition. I reckon this'll be nice!
