Well so is mine. I turn off the switch and the lights go out. I turn it back on and everything is renewed.
So what? Renewable energy is not the same as zero-carbon energy. If I burn a tree and plant another to replace it, I've still filled the atmosphere with the CO2 from burning that tree.
The world gets hot from increasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which is ok because forests love the stuff and it makes them grow greener and faster and they suck CO2 out of the air with a very satisfying "schluuuck" sound. So we should stop cutting the bugggers down. Cow farts are another issue.

Anybody want to try my magic mushroom Imperial Shandy?

If the supplier's website is to be believed, no trees were harmed in the making of my electricity

We only source our electricity from sun, wind and water. Last year, our electricity mix was 52% wind and 48% sun

And I would like to try your shandy, but only if the mushrooms are organic :coat:

I worked at a place where my buddy and me managed to grow psilocybes in the dark and warm space above the toilet. Great fun and high times ensued on many occasions, then we got the sack when the boss turned up unexpectedly and found us wandering around naked singing Scott McKenzie's 'If you're going to San Francisco'.

And which carbon free fuel will you be using for the fire? Wood? Nope. Coal? Nope.
Wood is carbon neutral - you cut down a tree for firewood, the tree sprouts from the stump and regrows, sucking the C02 out of the air you generated by burning the original tree. Totally `green'.
Our sole heating is from a couple of woodburners - we get through about 2 tons of wood per year - result: there are more trees on our land now than when we moved in 25 years ago.

What a misery...your boss should have sacked himself..
Nah, wandering around naked and out of your head is good old British tradition, but singing Scott McKenzie deserves the sack, and singing Puppy Love deserves summary execution.

We have a coal fire we have thought about a wood burner but now they are saying they are going to stop us burning wood and coal unless its smokeless we have used smokeles on an open fire and its useless.

"in the dark and warm space above the toilet" .... is that when you're sitting on it???

Everybody knows "California Dreaming" is THE nekkid-strawling-around-singalong song!?

Each to his own.
This evening's question is: "What do you sing when you're walking home "rolling drunk" from a splendid evening's watering at the pub or a beer festival?"

What did he have against San Francisco?

I do understand the problem of woodburners in urban areas - they do chuck out a lot of smoke.
I'd also say I wouldn't recommend a woodburner if you have to buy in your wood - getting a good blast of heat from burning wood needs so much wood it'd cost you a fortune.

Thanks, we were thinking of a multi fuel one but I think its on hold for a while now.
