4kg Maris Otter
500g Crystal
250g Chocolate malt
Cascade + Fuggles
Going to pour on 2kg plum pulp in the fermenter
Got about 50 mins left on the boil, trying the wort chiller for the first time, and pitching a Real Ale yeast from Crossmyloof.
Bottle or barrel, what do you think?

May taste distinctive and perhaps you won't want to drink it in great quantity at a single session, so I suggest bottles.

I also added 500g sugar to the boil, to get a gravity of 1050.
Guess I'd better order some bottles then. Appreciate your reply.

Brewing tomorrow...decided to prep tonight. Mash water in boiler and treated. Grain bill weighed out.
I'm going for another apa as follows..
3.5 kg Maris otter
1kg Munich
577g wheat
225g crystal 60
200 flaked barley
200 oats
I have Amarillo, cascade and Columbus so I'm still deciding on that bit!

All done...nice and easy day. Super clear wort and it tastes good. I opted to do batch sparge as I didn't really increase my efficiency over the past few brews pouring slowly over a perforated foil cover...still only managed low 60's...it's consistently rubbish though!! I'm considering either putting an extra kg of malt or a kg of sugar in the next brew...
I got 25 litres to fv which is now sitting in the brew fridge at 26 cooling...I'll pitch later.

Looks good to me. Should be a nice session bitter.

Golden Cornbine AG#4 23L

A great day for brewing as it's really windy outside, started at around 09:30 and finished at 14:20, no mishaps, SG 1045, hoping for around 4.5%, my Brewster Beacon just works well.
