Hello everyone, just found this excellent site. I have made homebrew stout from extract, nearly 30 years ago, and loved it. Then I had children!!
So just getting back into the full-grain scene, tried it last year and it was a beautiful pint of bitter, starting again with big plans, including a stout for Crimbo, some IPA for Rugby World Cup, and whatever else I fancy.
I prefer the darker beers, but want to experiment, watch this space......

Hi Kevin. A lot's changed in 30 years. Kits have improved massively although I tend not to use them and the variety and quality of ingredients available to the home brewer is just amazing. Welcome back to Valhalla.

Welcome to the forum. The countryside round you has always been a favourite for me for walking up a good thirst for a few beers. I'm running the Monsal Trail on Sunday to dehydrate myself in preparation for a home brew session in the afternoon.
