Just wondering if there are many of you that would make cider with different yeast's as I have a selection of yeast's that I won't get through with brewing beer but might opt for the cider root.
Kolsch, Belgian,Pale ale,Wheat and few other packets.

Give them a go. Kölsch should be pretty ace. I like using Belle Saison for cider.

I was thinking of the kolsch though I have cider on at the minute using CML US pale ale yeast.

Nice. Reckon the hefeweizen yeast could be pretty cool. Fermented cool for clove or warm for banana would both work pretty nicely I reckon.

I'm going foraging this weekend, I've heard there's damsons in a forest nearby, and there's blackberries everywhere. Hopefully I get a good haul.

I've got two yeasts at home, mangrove Jack's US West Coast, and MJ's Belgian tripel. Which would be best? Belgian for fruitiness, US for cleanness. I can't decide!
