The Høg Norsk yeast had taken my EKG user upper down to 1006°. Yikes! That will be 6.8% after priming. The sample tastes good, very bitter, but then it was well hopped. But there is this kind of spicy hint to it. Might be the hops, might not.

I'm wondering if this is really a Belgian Triple type yeast?

It absolutely annihilated my wort too. Was expecting it to be very clean given the description but it's pretty bitter/sharp? tasting and has left the beer very dry. Could work well in the right style, but I'm not convinced it would work for many styles. Just too expressive. As you say, maybe a Tripel or an Imperial Stout.

Back to the 'haze' yeast...............when using this one do you still cold crash or not bother because you obviously want the haze effect in the bottle ??

I dropped the temp for a few hours but not long. Don’t want lots of oxygen being sucked in! Used the yeast about 4 or 5 times now and it’s truly brilliant.

This is how it looks. Sample drawn off before kegging hence lack of head, looks much better in person. Great body although the hops aren't quite there(my fault)

Most is in a keg and a sneaky sample today was fantastic. It really looks the part and tastes great.

I also bottled a few and the yeast has pretty much dropped out but now the haze is showing signs too of doing so. Its obviously not a hefeweizen so no swirling the bottle but interesting to see how it turns out.

Ok, so this is turning into a lovely beer. It's bloody strong, though, aided by the fact the HG yeast took it down to 1006, nearly 7% after priming. The initial 'spicy' note is still there, but in a pleasant way. This is a fairly highly hopped beer for an English / EKG ale, so don't know if that is masking the bitterness some have reported. I have had 3/4 of a pint and am pretty merry, so that may also be influencing my review. acheers.

I’m brewing a hazy pale (not super NEIPA soft, just nicely soft with a crisp edge pale) with this tomorrow in single hop style using Idaho 7 (it’s a new hop for me) so I’ll report back on how it turns out.

I love Idaho 7. Criminally underused.

Just got a load from geterbrewed on the strength of your enthusiasm and as a bit of a change from Citra. What do you think of this hop apart from it's being underused?

Citrus, tropical and has this interesting black tea thing going on. I've used it in a dry-hopped Pilsner and and American Pale Ale, but I reckon it would work really well in most styles.

Could work well with English styles in lower amounts given the unusual light earthy thing going on with it.

It seems to really excel at late hot side where it imparts loads of flavour and aroma.

And if the fresh open packet is anything to go by the dry hop aroma is mosaic like, but more deep tropical notes but with a hint of lemon.

Very promising so far and it’s being kegged on Friday.

I'd better get one on tomorrow then. Thinking of doing a not-too-strong APA single hop to get a clear idea of what it's like before pairing it with another hop. I like Mosaic- especially in Eight Arch' Corbel- so I'm particularly looking forward this one.
Thanks for the feedback, all.
