So it looks like my Wilko brew kit didn't ferment properly for what ever reason. So now i have 25 bottles of a sweet ribeana tasting juice that im hoping can salvage?
1: Can i use these bottles for my next brew, adding it to the mix in lieu of some water?
2: Mix with a fresh brew with a 60 40 split during bottling?
3: Tip it down the sink.

Thanks in advance :-)

First, don't toss it just yet.
Some info would be helpful:
One, what Chippy asked. So OG and FG?
Pitching temperature?
Room temperature?
How long in the FV?
Priming method for the bottle?
How long in the bottle so far?
"Too sweet" sounds like it didn't ferment in the first place. Fully fermented beer, not yet carbonated, should taste like flat beer.

Hi, My hydrometer had a crack in it when i was going to do the first SG so i never used it, my end FG ( after buying a new 1) after bottling was showing 120 ( see pics as this hydrometer is difficult to read). It had been fermenting for 8 days with a temp between 24-28 deg and was pretty active with bubbling ect.. It took longer to clear than usual approx 12 days. it has a great colour but just lacks alcohol. I dont know what you mean by priming method, this was only my 3rd brew. its been bottled over a week and the photos were took just now.

I think it didnt ferment fully, but dont know why.

Thanks again for the reply's.

It didn't just not "ferment properly" it looks like it hardly fermented at all, kit wine usually starts at around 1070 - 1080 and finishes around .995 - .990 (.990 is dry and it doesn't go much lower) the arrow shows where it should have finished at its highest (kits usually suggest finishing fermentation at .995)

I have never come across this with a wine kit before so have no idea what may have happened but i think you can save it from going down the sink.

Did you use the stabiliser and finings before bottling if the answer is yes get a sachet of wine yeast from Wilko (enough for 5 gallons) gently pour the wine back into the sterilised FV re-hydrate the yeast (video below if you are not sure what to do) and if the temperature is above 20c pour it in and keep your fingers crossed, i recently put the stabiliser in instead of the yeast (30 bottle kit) and i thought it was ruined re-hydrating the yeast was enough to get it to start and ferment fully (which i was not expecting) so its got to be worth a try.

Hi Chippy, yes i added everything as per the instructions, so i dont know what went wrong. I will give your suggestion a try, i have another brew sat clearing so could do with the bottles.

Thanks again.

You could also bottle as is and drink in a tall glass with a little vodka and ice added.

Well i have added more yeast as per chippys steps and it dont look like anything is happening after 24hrs so its looking like a down the sink job.sick...
