i just think maybe it would be good for forumites to know that they can actually get the same hops (packaged correctly and really nitrogen flushed) quite a bit cheaper direct from CML.

Spot on Hoddy.

Timmy isn't doing anything wrong (apart from maybe the raffle) but its only fair to point out to members/guests that they can buy direct from CML (as he does) and therefore do not have to pay the inflated prices he is charging.

There are videos of the draws and you can see Lush being drawn so I think the draw is fair though the price per ticket may not be.
£6 per ticket i thought was ok! one in ten chance, and as i don`t buy my hops by the kg or half kg i never look at the price!

Fair play if you like a bit of a flutter, does he sell 10 x £6 tickets then draw it or can you buy as many as you like for each raffle?

10 x£6 then draw, buy all 10 if you want for each raffle! but i`ve only bought about three tickets in total now and again, so i see it as i`m still £`s in and I know when to cut and run!

I've entered these before and I've won once. I know I could just buy the hops if I wanted to but it's a just a bit of fun with the potential to get some hops. If you're solely entering raffles to get your hops then you have an issue.

Pretty sure he gets his hops in the large 10kg bags from malt miller then splits them up though, rather than from CML. He posted a photo of his order on Facebook once.

Exactly. I only do small batches so I'm slowly working my way through the 500g of Citra, Idaho 7 and Ekuanot I got. Not had to buy hops for my last 3 brews.
