Around 4 weeks ago I started off an extract kit (IPA from LHBS) in a rush and for various reasons mainly illness and being away I've not had chance to bottle it. It's been sat in the fermenter with temp control for 4 weeks unopened but I have no idea if it has fermented out as i didn't take a gravity reading before hand and currently dont have a hydro meter. After 4 weeks would it still be ok to bottle and would you risk it without a final gravity reading?

Thank you, I've ordered a new hydrometer from Amazon as I wont be able to make it to wilko or LHBS today.

I have had a few brews where I forgot to take a starting gravity. No big deal. As said the final gravity is important to make sure fermentation is complete

Final gravity comes out ok however the fv is giving off a fairly strong banana smell, worth bottling?
