Stir plate

I have just started using liquid yeast after been put off for so long so now i plan on over building yeast starters and keeping some for the next brew. Would this be a comprtant stir plate. I want to avoid making one if i can get one this cheap

It says 3500ml is the max. Will that be enough?

It's a rare occasion you'd need more than a 3.5L starter, even when overbuilding.

It's not the worst use of money but you could build one for basically free given a soldering iron and a scrap computer. Don't even really need the soldering iron tbh.
Might have to spend a quid or two on some kind of resistor, but can probably avoid even that by hooking random stuff up in the circuit.
I know it's only a few bucks but we're homebrewes durnit!

Works well. A bit too powerful though if used at more than half power, if it gets too carried away the stir bar flies off.
