Hi,

New to forum, not new to brewing. Have been brewing for 40 something years initially a few times with grain then turned to kits due to time constraints. Now retired have the time to go back to grain and treated myself to Grainfather a while back. The idea of recirculating plus the mash temperature control appealed to me. Lately been experimenting with a dark bitter taking Adnams Broadside as the inspiration

Professionally I worked in a brewery many years ago before moving into the IT world from which I retired in 2018

I wasn't a brewer. Worked in the laboratory, a lot of routine analysis, did look after pure yeast culture to sufficient quantity to pitch the production brew. Then out in trade getting landlords/bar managers/club stewards/ et al to look after beer properly.

It was all along time ago, most of the breweries in the group are no more
