I've looked through the existing hop tea posts and can't find the answers soooo....

I'm using my shiny new SS Conical fermenter and cold crashing seemingly isn't an option, it seems to retain the yeasts heat so well I could ferment outside! So to cut down on extra particulates and because it's come back a point over the target ABV, I figure hop tea's a good way to go.

1) Do I stir and wait for it to settle? Or
2) Can I add it and leave it for 3 to 4 days like I would if I was dry hopping?

I'm using carbonation drops so I can bottle straight from the conical above the sediment line, so I won't be adding priming sugar.

Thanks for any advice.

Regards,

Stuart

Personally, I add the Hop Tea after fermentation is complete and before carbonation.

If I'm bottling the brew I use a Bottling Bucket and add the Hop Tea and stir it in with the batch of carbonating sugar.

Hi Dutto,

Thanks for the reply, I guess I was looking to avoid transferring. to save on additional clean ups. It would make things more straightforward if I went the traditional route.
