Afternoon all,

New to all this lark so apologies for the silly question.

I've come into a load of 500ml swingtop bottles and am looking for crates to store them.

Ideally I'd like to stack them to save space but I'm struggling to find crates that can accommodate the bottle height, approx 27m, and stack safely. Has anyone got any suggestions to point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

Luke

It's actually a very good question! Someone will be along soon with advice. I can only suggest ordering swingtops online and keeping the box they came in. Cardboard is very durable unless it gets wet.

Thanks mate athumb..

Sadly the boxes arent in the best nick or that would have been ideal. Bloody cats have also decided that they're ideal scratching posts

Ebay has some, but I would look out for the German crates, in my experience they use swing tops and longer bottles sometimes. I have 3 German crates and the stack well.
maybe ask this seller to pick out some that fit swing tops.

Hi. This my first post. I hope it’s in the right place. I have German swing top bottles and use ‘Really Useful Box’ company’s boxes. The 35 l boxes hold 24 x 500 ml bottles and are just handleable when full. I use 48l boxes for empty bottles and 330 ml bottles. All are stackable and I find them ideal.

Bit expensive though. I have 20-something grolsch crates in the shed, works for me (they're not high enough but it works), I read somewhere that IKEA has plastic boxes too that might fit the purpose.
