Thinking about chucking some Raspberries in the FV that has a MJ Berliner Weisse bubbling away for er indoors.

Blend them up into a bag and thrown them in? Or put the straight in and hope the cold crash will sink everything. I presume the pips/seeds will float though and transfer into the keg.

Judging by how they react in a gin and tonic I think you should just add whole frozen raspberries and they should sink, stay sunk and whole and release all the flavour and be easy to leave behind.

Thanks.

That seems the easy option but was concerned I would not get the most out of them.

I’ll go to Lidl’s now and get a bag.

I siphoned the beer into an FV that I’d added crushed raspberries too. (I was making three different fruit beers which is why I didn’t add fruit to the primary FV) The raspberry one hardly cleared at all and looked like milkshake BUT I wasn’t able to cold crash it. Tasted good though!

With fruit, you should pasteurize first. Doesn't have to be long. But there are many who do just freeze, thaw, mash them or whatever and into the fermenter (bagged).
Edit: getting more surface area through blending is a decent idea.

Yes, I should have added that I poured boiling water on the fruit and allowed to cool before adding the beer.

I am just going by if a g & t gets left out over night half full the next day the liquids pink and the raspberries are white.

I've used the Funkin Cocktails raspberry puree a few times - really easy to use and already pasteurized.

Yep I’ve seen that, I think I’ll get some the next time I do it. I’m pretty sure a lot of the micros use the purée.

I brewed an Irish Red and added 1.5kg of rasperries that I puréed and pasturised before adding. It took about 2 months to clear but looked great even though it took an infection leaving a pellicle on top but turned out slightly sour/tart but one of my favourite beers.
