I have just brewed a Blackberry Porter which is very nice, I did it with not too many blackberries so that the fruit flavour complimented the beer rather than make it fruity and it has worked well. After having one last night I now want to make another to keg for Crimbo with a different take on flavour. My criteria is that I prefer a porter style to a stout as I am not a big fan of the highly roasted beers hence the blackberries to add that little bit of flavour adjustment and compliment the darker malts.Any suggestions chaps and chapesses
Ps love the darker fuller beers at this time of the year makes a change from the IPA,s as the dark nights approach

Good to hear about the GH brown porter, never done a porter before until last week. I hope it turns out as well as @matt76 days.

Fuller's have posted their recipe for their imperial porter if you fancy something a bit stronger for Christmas, from which I've deduced the recipe for their regular porter which is one of the benchmarks of the style :

The new Titanic Plum Porter cans have an ingredient list which will give you some insight into the recipe for a former Champion Speciality Beer of Britain : https://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/...n-recipe-and-process.66068/page-2#post-846449

Personally I'm a big fan of the mid-19th century porters, which mostly look something like 80% pale, 17% brown, 3% black to 1.055, ounce/gallon of Fuggles or similar, job done. See eg Ron Pattinson's porter book. (do buy something if you use his recipes)

Just kegged a clone of Vibrant Forest' Black Forest porter, one keg as per the recipe and the other I've fermented with Kveik and dry hopped with coffee.

They both tasted promising when I kegged them yesterday, the coffee one had a really nice smell to it too. I'll let you know how the first pints taste.
