Hi, I'm pretty new to home-brewing. Having done one Mild about 10 years ago, using the extract method that came in a can, I'm keen to restart my adventure.
Still in the early stages of sourcing the equipment needed and trying to decide whether to go down the same route as last time or down the full grain route.

I'm here to gain the knowledge and advice on offer from experienced brewers

Hi and welcome. If you start with cans, you'll need a fermenter with a tap and an airlock or a bit of syphon tube if no tap. You'll need a pile of bottles, a method of sealing them and some sanitiser and cleaner. You'll also need a hydrometer and trial jar. You can heat water in pots and pans.
When you upgrade to all grain, none of this will be wasted and you'll be able to integrate everything into your new system.
What budget we're you thinking of allocating for all grain, by the way ? There's no need to spend loads of dosh on bright and shiny kit although the market will try to persuade you otherwise.

I suggest you start with a few kits and get some experience under your belt before you decide how to proceed. You can successfully brew beer from a number of methods including kits, extract brewing, and all grain, and permutatations within, and in the end you decide what's best for you given budget, space available, commitment, quality of product, and importantly time investment, the latter being especially relevant if you go down the all grain route.
