Hi all! I used to brew full mash and the odd extract beer but after hurting my back lifting a 5 gallon batch I knocked it on the head and sold my kit. Some years on and looking for a joint hobby with my wife we've started brewing from kits - I also make country wines so already had some of the kit.

Just bottled a 5 gal Coopers European Lager (my wife's) and kegged a 20 litre version of Coopers Stout - smells like a lovely coffee/chocolate porter, can't wait to sample it! Looking forward to a Wherry Xmas too ;-)

Paul.

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about your back- was it a batch of wee heavy, by any chance? A bit of team work's called for. You lift the pints and the missus lifts the barrels!
acheers.

Welcome back. Let us know how the coopers European turns out. My dad is a real coopers fan and he really raves about the Canadian blonde with a light dry hopping.

After 3 weeks in bottle it's carbonating nicely, has an aroma not unlike Stella Artois but slightly light on malt flavours despite using LDME instead of sugar. Hopefully it will become a little more balanced as it matures. The missus likes it, so all good :)
