Tonight it's a few pints of my Mainline Bitter No.2. Really enjoying this and will most likely do an IPA version for Christmas.

A rather enjoyable pint of Jakehead IPA by Wylam Brewery. Went down well with a Mexican hotpot.

Cloudy, orangey and amber coloured.

Sticky Toffee Pudding by Eagle Brewery. surprisingly nice, and does have an interesting hint of toffee. would like to know how they got this flavour in the beer.

I fear this will be my last ever post on here before being blocked, but here goes.

I am drinking the last of my barrel ioff my EKG user upper. It's very nice indeed, if a bit strong.

This means, ahem, I have now completely run out of homebrew. Completely. In my defence, we've had a mental six months with the eldest child having open heart surgery (don't worry, she's 200% fine), parents having heart attacks in the outer Hebrides (also now fine) and having to have cancer chopped off my back (again, not the dangerous kind as it turned out and I'm fine), work being batshit crazy, and the Mrs finishing her final year at Uni.

However, they are poor excuses for a brewer to run out of beer, so I apologise. acheers.

The good news is a new brewery has opened in the next village and can sell me base malt at a great price so I'll soon be back at it!
Shame on you.
".. if a bit strong"?? Not strong enough, I should say.

Had a visit to lidl today and found they are selling their own branded IPA's so thought I would try some.
Here's the first.

Zombie Dust clone a week in the keg under natural carbonation, probably make 1 or 2 per year of the AIPA's this one is a first, tastes more like a West coast IPA good citrus coming through with a sweet malt flavour. I might look forward to drinking this.

Someone very kindly gave me a Beerwulf gift voucher so I helped myself to a few (16 actually) mostly Belgian beers that I haven't tasted yet:

Where to start acheers.
Nice i've only had 9 of those on the table. I love the delerium red and nocturnum. corsendonk is a bit meh IMO. would love to try the zundert 10. That's a great selection. athumb..

(unlike my beer advent calendar last year where 2/3 rds were blondes.)

Drinking my Festive Ale after discovering earlier in the week that the caps have not sealed too well and I feel it's too risky to give them away. Tried to seal them a bit tighter today but found out that hitting the capping tool of an already carbonated beer with a hammer doesn't end well... aheadbutt

So there will be no home brew Christmas gifts this year but I will enjoy the rest of the batch myself o_O

Our pilgrimage to the Norwich Beer Festival this evening, so I expect to be drinking quite a few different halves acheers.:beer1:
Hi. Hoping to have a go at Greg's American IPA. It will be my first AG Brew. Interested how yours turned out.
