Hello folks,

I hear people use these kits in a variety of fashions, glycol solutions in buckets housed in feezers etc. How do you use yours? How effective is it? Does it work with an inkbird?

I'm looking to invest in one and want to hear about the best most effective ways of using them.

Many thanks,

Stuart.

Hi, the grainfather is supplied with a counterflow cooler, it's effectively a hose inside a hose. The hot wort is pumped through one hose, cold water through the other. The hose's are long enough to allow the wort to cool to pitching temperature as it is pumped through the hose. It takes approximately 5 minutes to cool 23litres of hot wort. The grainfather cooler is designed to work with the grainfather only, it relies on the internal pump.

I'm no expert but the way I read the post the OP was on about cooling the fermenter rather than the wort?

The Grainfather is supplied with a Counterflow Wort Chiller.

My enquiry relates to the Cooling Pump kit.
