Hello everybody,

Currently resting my liver ready for the challenges of December.

I have a general preference for brewing Black Country style bitters and similar,
also Directors, Titanic White Star, etc etc.
The 1980's Ind Coopes Burton Ale!! was perhaps my all time fav pub beer.

I often fail to get the hoppy aromas and flavours that some of my pub favourites have.

Which hop variety would generally suit these beer styles for good dry hopping and
would whole hops or pellets be best?
I've heard EKG & Bramling Cross are compatable with English premium ales but I'm not sure
what to use.

I love a bit of Goldings/EKG, my self. We may need a description of your brewing process to help you get hoppier brews. I'm getting the beer I've dreamt of by hopping for 60 minutes for bittering, flavouring at 15 mins and a final dose at flameout, cooled to 80 C. I'm getting so much flavour that dry hopping seems uneccessary. Cooling quickly is important for late hopped beers. What do you do?
