Sorry I know this is an old thread but just wanted to ask a question about this kit. I have it currently fermenting, day 11, and was going to add hops a few days before kegging. Now my fv has a tap so I will not be using a syphon, so can I put the hops into the net/filter bag which comes with the kit? If so I assume I will need to sanitize it? Is this a case of putting it in star san or boiling water? Cheers
Boiling water for a 10 minutes should work, star san too, but only if it's no-rinse.
You let it go straight from the tap? Beware of oxidation, I'd use a foodgrade hose: no splashing etc.

The filter bag is to go over the end of a Syphon it's not a hop bag the hops will expand once you put them in your Fv so you will need a bigger muslin bag.

I'm bottling this tomorrow, what's the general recommendation on the amount of brewing sugar to use?
I'm thinking of 150gm basically 50gm more than supplied.

That brewersfriend link from @terrym is THE goto-link for priming.
I use sugar cubes (I have 2 and 3 grams cubes) so it's easy peasy for me: 1x 3grams per halfliter, 1x 2grams per .3-liter. Bit on the low side but it fits ordinary English ale styles (my favourite brews).

Update time, this tasted great in the FV, I bottled it and conditioned it in the warm then cool. To be honest it's not a patch on how it tasted in the FV. I'm quite disappointed to be honest. I've had a dozen bottles or so and I'm just not enjoying it. What do you guys think? Would it be better kegged do you think?
(I used Grolsch bottles put through the dishwasher and sterilised with starsan).

Unless you have a 'proper' keg system rather than just a PB you can't achieve the carbonation level for the style unlike you can in bottle.
And I'm sure you will find a few opinions of what folks thought about this beer in the 300 plus posts in this particular dedicated thread alone. Plus if you search Razorback in the Forum search engine that will probably throw up a few more. athumb..

Hi. It has been one of my favourites. Initially very apricot flavoured. Matured to have a much more subtle flavour. I used small 330 ml bottles.
