Grainfather CFC Screwed mid brewday

I put in a fair amount of 10, 0 min hop additons and fear it will end up a mouth turning bitter bomb.

Anyone else suffered the same fate with the GF CFC? Any solution?

No I’ve never had a setup that uses a CFC. I know it’s a bit late but you could have knocked up a quick chiller coil?

I haven’t don’t no chill before but I would assume it should be ok as long as nothing can get to it while it’s chilling and you are able to do a safe, exposure transfer.

I have this issue quite a lot. Make sure the pump isnt blocked by attaching the recirc arm. Then re-attach the CFC and turn the pump on for about 30 sec then turn off for 30 sec and repeat a few times. I think either something is blocking the CFC or there is an air lock stopping the wort moving through. Works every time for me.

It may seem obvious but check the flexible hose isnt kinked where it attaches to the GF.
