Just enjoyed a couple of pints of Rock Bitter at the new micro pub at the end of our road. Just 3 min walk from my front door clapa

Nice bitter edge and very quaffable at just 3.8% acheers.

A nice pub just three minutes away on foot? That would be on my "must-have" for the next house! And a pizzeria.
This is a recent Massacre lager (14.4% ABV). Pretty darn good. Made in Michigan. The beers are dipped in thick wax though and a pain to remove. I settled on sawing around the perimeter. I'd end up cutting my finger off if I tried for a third.

Tower Brewery Burton Imperial IPA - not bad, sort of an odd trad British style IPA but with new world hops, and also a bit lighter than most traditional IPA's - I now that makes it sound like a an american IPA but I cant quite put my finger on how it differs from that style ~ yeast, perhaps? OK, not sure I would actively seek it out, but would be interested o try it on hand pump.
Swmbo is disgracefully dragging me to the tower brewery for her birthday this weekend. It's less than 500m down the road, but definitely feels like a long walk home some nights. The IPA is absolutely amazing on tap, but if you get the chance try 'gone for a burton'.

The pub only opened on Sunday, and as brilliant as it is, it would be great to have a bit more variety - 4 beers on cask, all bitters between 3 and 4 %.
14% lager would not be on the menu sadly asad1

Using my nonick (spelling?) glass. It's a home brew Gale's Prize Old Ale (2 of 2). More than likely, it's not even close to the original. It is quite good even at such a young age. It's at 12.8% ABV range but was supposed to be 10% ABV. I added dark brown sugar to make up for the homemade golden syrup and it had an effect.

Double Chance Bitter clone, haven't a clue what the original is like but I have subbed the hops for all Williamette which I like.

My Honest Brew advent arrived about 20 mins ago. Although annoyed that its a week late, it's good to have a bit of a backlog .acheers.
