Hi Folks, that's December upon us and it's me judging this month's competition. Time for some nice down to earth British beers to balance out all the crazy Christmas brews which are going on. I'm going to be brewing my own bitter on Tuesday but guess I can't enter it...

PM me for an address if you'd like to enter.

Thanks

Pm me your address, I'll enter my latest bitter.
But you'll need to wait until new year to try it, as it's only half carb'd to date and will need more time, if that's ok?

Pm sent, also I'll be judging all the entries around the new year. Given my father in law will be round for Hogmanay I may do the tasting then if all entries are in and settled by then. But as standard you have until the end of the month to get a beer entered and I'll judge when convenient after the 31st.

do extra special bitters/strong ale fall into this category? if so pm your address and I have a couple to send in.

Yes they do, I'll drop you a PM.

Edit - Can't PM new members, missed that you'd just joined us. PM is incoming from an Admin.

Morning, I posted yesterday, so I would think some time between Christmas and New year it should land.

Hello all, Going through the cupboard it appears that I have 4 beers from, Ajhutch, RichardM, dan125 and SteveH.

Your beer hasn't shown up yet @mitchmalt, but I guess it will do eventually so I'll hold off on judging tomorrow and will see when it shows up.

I've not received beer nor a reply to my PM from @Nicks90 and @MartinHaworth, do either of you have something in the post?

Feel free to judge tonight if that was the plan, honestly I don’t mind, you can just drink mine when it arrives! Cheers

Sorry zeph, not gotten around to posting any out and after a get together last week my friends put an enormous dent in my stocks and I only have 4 left. Being greedy and keeping them for myself.

Your bottle arrived this morning. I was considering what you suggested as I have the in-laws round for Hogmanay tonight, we shall see.

Quite right, I've done similar in the past too.

Sorry for the radio silence, I only had a shorth time at home over the New Year which was rather busy. I've sent out all the feedback now and below are the results.

First - @RichardM (Black Sheepish)
Second - @SteveH (ESB)
Third - @Ajhutch (British Golden with Voss) and @dan125 (Green Hop Pale Ale)
Fifth - @mitchmalt (Yorkshire Bitter)

Thanks for the entries everyone. All the beers were very tasty and well made, the placements mostly came down to overall drinkability which made it quite close. I decided to reward first place with their choice of 2 bottles of beer so hope Richard enjoys the Weizenbock and Ruby Mild.
