There is not much to do apart from drill a few holes and remove the thermostat. If it the latter i can find the video i referred to if that's of any help. Most fridges i have seen have the cooling coils on the back so your safe drilling the sides.

What do u need to know? I wouldn’t worry about the internal stat, I doubt you will want your beer that cold. Or better still get a chest freezer and build a Keezer. Also it’s well worth having some secondary regs so you can have different carbonation levels.

Just wanted to see pictures and tips.

Think I will manage with a fridge, after seeing @dan125 freezer catch fire I don't want to build the house down.

Don't let it put you off. Was just a freak accident - nothing to do with converting to a keezer I don't think as I hadn't tinkered with the electrics at all, just plugged straight into an inkbird.
And besides one tap is still working perfectly well :laugh8:

I am in the process of building a kegerator. My cornys arrived yesterday only to find I can’t fit two in the fridge. I need to hack away about half an inch from each side, perhaps only at the bottom where the rubber bit makes the corny a bit wider. What’s the best way to find out if there are any cooling cables here?

Make a flour/water mix
Paste over the fridge turn fridge on and see where dries first

Unfortunately not all large fridges are the same size as i found out buying the last one. Its a little shorter and possibly narrower. Lost my tape measure. My under counter fridge only fits 2. Did you get a tall fridge? I love fridges so i am told so i would probably get a larger one and use that for fermenting. Mine only ice up at the back and you can feel it when you turn them on. Just leave the door open and it will make ice up at the back. As far as i know none do the sides. Would weaken the shelf supports. Problem i see removing any of the inner shell is it could expose foam that would collect moisture and possibly mold.
Its very easy to drill the outside of the fridge with a 5mm bit and then you can poke a cocktail stick through the foam for extra reassurance. I seal mine with blue tack.

I picked up an undercounter fridge the other day, lucky it was free but it's way too small and stinking.

Been offered a tall one but at 6ft I think I need a van to transport it

A tub of bicarbonate of soda left in the fridge will soak up bad odours. For transportation i have looked for a "man in a van" on gumtree.
