So I've been reading about these lately just looking for any tips u might have I'm going to get a spare bucket sanitize add 25 litres of water and half a crushed tablet 2 hours before getting the kit on am I doing the right thing I'm not ready to get too deep into water scientific nes yet lol

Are you sure you need to bother? If your tap water smells and tastes OK and tea doesn't taste of TCP it is not likely you need to pre-treat your brewing water, especially if you are only brewing kits.
 
Nope not sure just read it improves beer maybe I should do some research then
 
I couldn't taste the chlorine in my tap water. Then when I was using the acidified bleach sanitisers I'd spray some in my mouth before sucking on the syphon hose, put my thumb over the end (sprayed) then spit it out. This really trained me to taste chlorine, I kinda wish it didn't because my water tastes like **** now unless I campden it. If in doubt do it because it won't do any harm. And 2 hours is tons of time, it works in minutes.

Have always added 1/2 crushed tab to every 23 litre batch just before pitching the yeast. It's good practice as it also helps kill of any nasties before they get hold.
