Some BOY Yorkshire bitter. Not normally a big bitter fan, but a very slow fermentation due to lower temps has made a big difference to the ale as it's bloody lovely.
 
Turbo cider made with wild yeast IMG_20200117_194257.jpg ,cultivated from a foraged pressed apple batch..its really good very authentic scrumpy taste 6.2%.
 
A Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Clone. I’ve never actually had the original (recipe is from Graham Wheeler Brew your own British ale book, scaled to 10L using BIAB method) and clocks in at 5.9%. So may be far off the mark for the original beer however it is a nice dark red in colour slight head and has a slightly sweet taste. Overall I think one of the best beers I brewed and will be doing again.
 
IMG_20200117_212004.jpg wilko spiced winter ale...loads of flavour, dark fruits, liquorice although not much cinnemon now(if any), very tasty though.
 
I might have a couple of bottles of my Youngs AIPA. Was concerned it may not have carbed (my cider didn’t) as not always warm in mancave, so just tested one I put in the fridge the other day. Still a bit green but very good, and just the right amount of fizz.

Supposed to be going up to my garage to sit for a bit, but the crates I ordered got delayed so getting the bottles there is ruddy tricky (garage quite a trek from house).

Just poured a can of ‘Blow Out’ by Mikkeller. Just about to take 1st sip & see what’s it’s like!

Had it at a beer festival once. Very nice- really sweet and malty
 
Another Trappist quadruple but slightly disappointed with this one. This is the second time I've had this beer and both times there's been a rather unpleasant harsh bitterness which really lingers on the the palate.

Marble brewery....'Pint'..hoppy pale Ale, goes down easily, never had it before, very nice. Great bar as well.IMG_20200118_223412.jpg
 
Mount St. Bernard Abbey - Tynt Meadow English Trappist Ale 7.4%. Came across it when I was in Oxford yesterday, it’s dark, rich everything a strong ale should be. Wish I had purchased a second bottle.
 
Punk IPA
Having gone in for a couple of 500 ml cans in our local Leclerc, I was amazed to see the 330 ml bottles were only 1.36 euros- that's £1.16 in real money so I put a dozen in the trolley. Got to the checkout to find they were mispriced. They honoured the dozen, but wouldn't let me have the rest of the shelf-full. That'll teach me. At 1.17 euros to the GBP that's almost exactly £2.00 a pint. (£2.00072520073 in fact).
Result! Nothing tastes better than either free beer or beer that you know you've got cheaper than it should be.
Anybody who fancies popping round this evening is welcome to share them with me. acheers.

I wish ! Love Brittany Enjoy your bargains! We may have to do a swap my local Eight Arch ‘Corbel’ for something you think is spot on. Can you still buy Gordon’s Scottish ales in the local Auchan etc....?
