Hi, was a member here a while back and had some fun brewing kits, partial mashes and a couple of all grain Biab.
Tried to log in again last night for a quick look around as I can feel the need for a brew rising within me again but had to reregister with the same username:?: I searched and found myself in some of the old posts I'd made before but couldn't log in:confused.:
Anyway that's that over with.
To ease me in again I've ordered a coopers stout with a kilo of dme and it should be delivered this weekend.
I have pulled out one of my fv from the garage and have it soaking in oxy clean powder and one of my PB doing the same. Hopefully get it underway over the weekend.

I remember drinking my coopers stout straight from the FV before so maybe it's ambitious thinking about a PB!
My only problem now is wondering where to put the FV. My brew room is now a bedroom!
Thinking of knocking up a box from ply and insulating in the garage and using a tube heater I already have to keep it warm.
I used a fish tank heater before but not sure it would be up to the job in a cold garage.

I had the ekg and chocolate malt left from an attempt at a Coopers chocolate stout so thought I'd throw it in. Sparged with 3.5l of water at 80c. Not sure how much mash water there was because I had to mix hot and cold to get Temps right. But seems to be about 10l in a 15l pot!

This was one from 2016! I did not have a big post count but learned a lot from the forum.

I use water bath in my garage heated by a 50w fish tank heater, and it works OK for me. More here....
