Crown caps on twist off bottles

I'm looking to re use glass bottles. I've got a mate with a load of Budweiser bottles that had the twist off lids.

Are we able to re use these with standard crown caps?

No you need a smooth rounded top for the caps to crimp around

Common sense says a crown top cann seal on a spiral thread. But I'd give it a try. The threads are not where it seals. All you need is some compression on the seal which lines the top of the cap.

American Budweiser is not beer, it's a fizzy, weak sake' as it's made from rice. Can you believe, the US company has been trying to fight the original beer for it's trademark!

In Australia majority of bottles sold are twist cap and a lot of brewers use them. Coopers especially.
