Haven't been in Tesco for a while, their selection is pretty good but could also do with some new ones as I'd tried most. Some duffers but mostly ok. Have to drop in next week then!

Will not be surprised if I am completely underwhelmed by this. Evil Twin is one of the most overrated breweries out there. All of their big stouts are seriously lacking in the flavour they claim to have. I actually think I have only tried one good imp from them. Possibly the original Jesus Juice.

His brother makes far better beer.

Yeah but his brothers offerings in M & S are very underwhelming.
I did enjoy Big Ass Money Stout and Double Barrel Jesus

Never tried them but not too surprised that a supermarket range isn't great. Appeal to the masses, is probably what M&S prioritised.

Any time I have had an Evil Twin beer that was any good, it was a collaboration with someone that actually knew what they were doing. And even then...

Bit surprised by this, I've had a few of their beers and been really impressed by most of them. I Love You With My Stout is a fantastic imperial stout, as is Christmas Eve, in fact the only beer that I found disappointing was Wet Dream which didn't really do it for me.

I have found that the quality has been really inconsistent with these big releases and ultimately BD produced beers. I had a hazy jane the other week and it was so rank it was just nasty. And the wildcard beers have been really bad at times as well.

I just hope that these ones with BD dont do the same. And i am wary, rightly or wrongly, of the depth of involvement of BD in these beers and are they using the spare capacity of the new US and Berlin breweries to keep those facilities viable.

Hazy Jane - Just a ramped up Punk IPA, IMO.
Wild Card beers - If it's the ones I am thinking of (parrot holding a king of clubs or whatever?), then I didn't actually mind them. Not great and they all definitely had a certain something lacking but not too bad. Having said that, I am in no rush to buy them again.

BD have really dropped their standards, IMO. Their core range is not very good and some of their releases makes you wonder what the hell they were thinking of. Too many cooks, perhaps?

Not impressed by the releases this week. Another version of hazy Jane isn't a new release in my world.

Like usual I will buy one of each and be disappointed and not buy them again.

I had an Evil Twin IPA recently and it was incredibly thin, dry, and devoid of any hop aroma. Very strange.
