Hi all - just wondered whether anyone who has experience with buffalo boilers may be able to help me work out what is going on with my old gen one? It's a cc193 version. Anyway, it's stopped heating basically. The power light comes on, but the element does nothing whatsoever. I brewed with it at the weekend just fine. I don't have a much of a clue when it comes to electrics, but I had wondered whether it may be the thermal fuse... However, I can't even find the thermal fuse on the boiler. I have moved the thermocouple, and reset the cut out, but still no heat being generated. If anyone has a clue that may help, it would be appreciated, before I end up spending a load of cash on a new boiler

I've tried to add an image of the boilers electrics but it won't let me upload it currently.

I would check the connections and if theyre sound I'd replace the element before buying a new boiler. Replacing the element should be an simple job

The only way to check your element is by checking the resistance using a multimeter. You will find a simple guide on youtube

Thanks for the replies! Spent a bit of time faffing about with a multimeter and following wiring diagrams and eventually realised a connection had come loose between the main switch and element. Reconnected it and its back up and running.

Cheers!
