Do you dry bottles before filling?

Lol nah, I give them a rinse first (in case there’s any spiders in there out of the shed), then chuck in some VWP in water, swish it round, dump it out, rinse twice more, bish bash bosh, in goes the wine.

Then when they’re sealed I give them a wipe and dry them, because I ALWAYS spill some wine down the sides and standardly get some on my leg lol. Then I dry the outside and leave them for a few hours before I put a crappy label on.

I then just fill the bottles as I think what is the harm in a few drops of tap water.

Reason I ask is I've seen those bottle drying trees and thought what's the use of them....

I was always under the impression that with chemsan and starsan before it you can squirt them into a clean bottle pour out the excess and then get on putting the beer into the bottle with no need to wait for the bottle to dry inside (and with no need to rinse). Some of the answers above have confused me a little, although i admit it doesn't take much :-)
