Transfered to Corney this afternoon.
The fresh yeast I bought was rubbish ended up having to add the original yeast to get it going.
Finished fermentation at 20°C 48 hours ago.
Added 60g / 19 litres Canderel to back sweeten to my taste.
Initial tasting very impressed nice Toffee Apple flavour.
Gassing it at 26psi.

Awesome. Interesting you had to fall back on the original yeast. I've used old dry yeast before without issue. It's certainly more stable than liquid.

Yes the recently bought cider yeast wouldn't start.
In a bit of a panic I boiled a cup of water added a teaspoon of sugar.
Waited for it to cool to room temperature sprinkled the old yeast on top.
Then covered it with cling film for about 40 minutes.
When I checked it (not expecting much) the headspace in the cup was full of bubbling goodness.
Poured it straight away into the fermenter and within a hour it kicked off.
Took about a week to finish, then a couple of days later I drained it into a Corny.
I'll get into it proper in the summer.
