I was sat at the table a few days ago and I got a whiff of my shoes, seriously it was so bad I thought a skunk had walked in.

But I have now made an amazing discovery, I have in the past occasionally used shoe deodorisers which, to be honest, never really worked that well.

Now I have found the answer Chemsan (Star San wannabe) seriously I sprayed the inside of my shoes and put them on the line outside to dry and the smell had almost disappeared another spray with Chemsan and left to dry and the smell has now completely disappeared. athumb..

Thanks for the heads up as it is the time of year for smelly feet / shoes / trainers / sandals / whatever and I'll be giving this a go if the need arises. That said just bought a new pair of expensive (for me anyway) walking sandals that claim to have some sort of anti-bacterial / odour treatment on the foot bed. We'll see 😷

It's acidic though, right? If you use regularly surely it'll damage your shoes.

Diluted as per the instructions I doubt it would dissolve your shoes. Just don't put it on neat!
That's why I said regularly, I agree putting neat starsan on shoes is a bad (though probably entertaining) idea!

Remember those experiments in school...what dissolves in sulphuric acid?
My chemistry teacher found out that the plastic pipes from the lab sink to the ground floor dissolve....he should have known that the twit...
