We will all have to separate our food waste soon.

Announced on BBC news December 2018 -

All households in England may be given a separate caddy for food waste, under plans to be announced next week.
Had that for years up here. Not tat I use it much as any raw fruit and veg goes in the compost and I was brought up not to waste food!

Here are my bins

Them’s Cheshire East bins just like mine. And we share a bin day! We’re practically bin brothers.

My niece lives on the border of Cheshire East (covid tier 2) and Newcastle under Lyme (covid tier 1) The kids at school are using bin colours to determine which mates they can play with after school.

A bit of wheelie bin envy from the quarantined Cheshire kids...

Both. All grain. More ale than lager though. Yesterday bottled a 1970’s boddingtons recipe, I have a Pilsner/Saaz lager just gone into lagering fridge and a kind of Sierra Nevada-ish pale ale bubbling away since Sunday.

Here are my bins

The grey one on the left is for recyclables such as cardboard and plastic, the black one in the middle is for non-recyclable rubbish and the brown one on the right is for garden and food waste

Bin collection day is a Tuesday

Grey and brown bins one week, black the next - and then the cycle repeats itself
