In no particular order

ESB
Strong dark ale (McEwans champion/Broadside)
Strout
American pale ale
German pilsner

Could easily add Dunkel or Dunkelweisse and Belgian strong ales, but I don't have the experience of brewing those styles.

Best Bitter
AIPA
Old / Strong Ale (kegged an Abbot Reserve clone yesterday and it tasted superb straight out of the sample jar)
ESB
US Pale

Was tempted to say stout, although I don't drink it myself, I make a couple of batches each year for my brother......

......definitely no lager though

Whatever I want to brew! Why stop at limiting "styles" to 5? The concept of "styles" should have been consigned to oblivion years ago.

Just in case some cretin wants to argue with my view on "styles": I'll put in my list of five (mainly stolen from another thread that dipped into this subject), just be prepared to defend them!

Black India Pale Lager
Session DIPA
Imperial Mild
Black Witbier
Double Berliner Weisse

I can list real examples of these "styles". (Complete and utter boll… ).

Black lager....the original Wrexham Lager was black.

good question!

Dubbel
IPA
Saison
Golden Belgian style sour
Bitter

Showing my ignorance here about Saison! but someone please point me to some good sources of said commercially brewed nectar so as to make my own mind up?

I must admit in my early days of brewing I tried all sorts, well, the best we could in the early 70's !
Various attempts at stouts, mild, lager, porter, heavy ales over the years. Not always successful by any stretch of the imagination asad.:vomitintoilet:

I tend to brew what I enjoy drinking these days and not straying too far from fairly light beers or IPA, but love experimenting with hops and yeast, really enjoying finding the slight variations with my 'base malt'.

Although not too far away from my usual tipple, just going to bottle my first Belgian Wheat beer tomorrow.

Think the main thing is just enjoying brewing :smallcheers:
