Hi all.The brewferm wit bier I just bottled has a bit of a bitter taste,is this normal?
Fermenter and all other equipment was well cleaned and sanitised and rinsed several times. The beer aroma and taste nice but taste does have bitterness as well.Any feedback appreciated

I don't have any experience with that particular kit, but if it was brewed to the correct length then presumably it's as bitter as it should be. Most beers have some level of bitterness, and although a wit usually has a relatively low bitterness, it normally has a dry finish which can enhance the perception of bitterness.

Thanks Steve.
First fermentation took 14 days and came out at expected 1005.Will give the second ferment the ten days then in shed till just before Christmas...I promise I will... maybe.

As Steve has said if the beer as gone low on finishing it has used more of the available sugars, this in turn will leave the beer less sweet which will bring forward the bittering to a higher level in perception. Bitterness is in the hands of the drinker as a mild bitterness to one person can be highly bitter to another to give a example my wife who has a very good taste perception of beers finds bitterness to be a lot stronger than I do in the same beer

Cheers Baron,I feel better about it now that you both give good feedback.Just the patience now to give it time.

Thanks baron.Tasted ok to drink so after second fermentation and 6 week cold crash I'm hopeful will have improved.
