What are you drinking tonight 2020 (part two)

That's what I had today - minus the mango and hibiscus. The original beer smelled so good fermenting before the extra additions that I had to try it again without them. Both are great!

And a chocolate rum stout to finish the pre weekend drinking. Would want to get too squiffy...

New glassware! I keep making wheat beers so I thought I may aswell have a glass to go with. My wheat beers are all gone though so I've had to fill it with my Chinook, Mosaic, El Dorado pale. My wife thought this was a commercial beer so I guess that's something 👍🏼

2019 unfortunately so I'll probably be aging it for a few years... Probably. Then again I could buy another one on my next order and have one young and one aged

Couldn't come away empty handed so I've just bought these beers for 'research purposes'

I'm still brewing a NEIPA next week though.... I've never tried to brew one so I need to do it.

You know what, I'm finding myself more and more drawn towards the strong, dark and malty beers. Every hoppy beer I've had recently has seemed samey, and a bit disappointing. I've brewed a few aswell and they've been OK but... There's just something amazing about these strong malty beers.

What's your take on Sorachi Ace? I've got a Sorachi Ace red rye IPA planned in a few weeks time but I've never used them before.

I'm going to miss this beer. I've never had a commercial weizenbock so I have no comparison for it, but it's my favourite homebrew so far.

I'm catching up alright! On to my last weizenbock, I need the bottle for next week's new and improved version. Nothing below 6% today 🤪

Well I was up at 5 bottling my elderflower champagne and making sour dough all morning so it's not THAT early really... Right?

    Kveik

My Stranda Kveik IPA is a success! All the weird rubber smells are gone. It's carbed perfectly after 1 week in the bottle, and it tastes juicy as hell. Pineapple and mango, with some peachy hints. The 6.3% alcohol is completely hidden too. I've bottled the starter I made with the top cropped...

And another test beer, my Stranda Kveik IPA. Fermented in two days at 32°C, dry hopped 5, then bottled for a week. Had some weird rubber smells from the yeast but they're all gone now. Could do with another week or so conditioning but I'm very pleased with this one. Very tropical, I'll be making...

Having a tester of my 'accidental dubbel' 7+% and very drinkable. I should make mistakes like this more often...
