    What did you brew today?

Just brewing a simple SMASH lager today. While I empty the last of my lager to free up a keg for my brown ale. Such a hard life.

    Best beer for curry?

I think I'd go with a very malt forward type with a bit more body to offset the curry. Hmmmm a porter with low roast characteristics perhaps.

    Magnum, Apple Cider Review

I just thought I'd add a bit to an old post, I just bought one of those Magnum kits as it's all that was in the shop. I usually get the Black Rock Cider kit here in NZ but they were all sold out. I don't think I'll add any sugar to the kit as I usually add 1-2 3L bottles of preservative free...

    What did you brew today?

I had brewed a smash lager using 4kg Gladfield Pilsner malt with 22g Nelson Sauvin hops with S23 yeast. Left in the kegerator for 3 weeks to ferment then transferred to another carboy and left in the kegerator for another month. Now it's all kegged and carbed waiting for the end of my dry spell...

What are you drinking tonight 2020.

No drinkies for a month, doing KETO so am on the dries. It's absolute torture, especially when my kegerator is sending telepathic messages tempting me in my weakest moments.

    What are you drinking tonight.

Well last night I was drinking my rubbish brew which was made using all the left over grain from previous brews some of which was nearly 2 years old. It's quite funny how good it tastes especially after sitting in the keg for a while.

    GrainFather v other systems.

I have a Robobrew gen3. Works a treat. Half the price of the grainfather. The only thing that would be better is the counter flow chiller. I've done about 10 brews in it so far.

    Bleach as a sanitiser.

I've only ever used bleach, so far without any problems whatsoever. However I live so far away from a brew shop bleach is just an easy option and readily available from the local supermarket. I've given up on bottles for the most part and use kegs so it's not as much of a neusense having to rinse.

    Why can your homebrewed beer?

I suppose it would depend on the scale of operations, for me I don't think canning is a viable option. It might be a good option if you like to go out frequently and want to take a few brews with you. At this stage I'm happy using the big cans.

    Mangrove m36 liberty bell reviews?

I have used m36 a couple of time before and have just kegged a batch of Irish stout with m36. It seems to have turned out great.
