Hop Bongs - Are they worth it?

As an aside, if you fancy a Hop Bong, they're on offer at BKT for £60 in their Black Friday week month thing. https://brewkegtap.co.uk/products/hop-bong-kit-2 They're normally £80+.

Stuck fermentation when using two kits and two yeast sachets

OK, I was just told it could easily create bottle bombs.

In my opinion - Cars Per House

Funny enough, my Missus has a licence and a car. I reckon miles she's done that didn't involve work? 200. And most of those were driving back from me buying classic cars. She won't even drive to the pub.

In my opinion - Dogs on leads.

Oh that's a good point Loiner. My dog is absolutely horrid to other dogs when on the lead. She lunges and barks (but doesn't bite - she's a Sprocker and it's not really in their vocabulary). But it's a reaction thing. Off the lead she neither barks nor shows any aggression and runs away...

Stuck fermentation when using two kits and two yeast sachets

Did you ditch the beer? Funny enough, I've an issue with an S-04 batch right now. I've had issues with it before too.

In my opinion - Cars Per House

About our parents not owning cars, my wife's Mum doesn't drive. Neither did her Grandparents. This massively limited the jobs they could do, particularly with a small child. And she was lucky that all her relatives lived nearby. My folks on the other hand, shared a car with the neighbours that...

In my opinion - Cars Per House

So here's the thing. I live around 4 miles from the beach. On a weekend, I'll happily walk the dog to the beach and back. Although she's getting a bit older now and sometimes we take the bus back (her choice, not mine). I work from home mostly, so on a lunchtime, I can take the dog for a walk...

    Whamageddon

True dat. What people forget is that Last Christmas was originally a double A side. https://www.officialcharts.com/songs/wham-last-christmaseverything-she-wants/ It's traditional that after 25th December, you flip the single over. This enabled it to stay in the top 10 until the end of January...

    Whamageddon

    Doesn't start until December.

In my opinion - Cars Per House

One car? What about those of us who have classic cars? What about those of us who live in rural areas and both work the opposite directions and don't have any public transport options?

    Job market forecast for 2025?

There are plenty of ways around this. One of them is to use a company that in turn body shop.

In my opinion - Dogs on leads.

Yup, again, that's a fair point. I used to live in a very rural village in Buckinghamshire. I now live on the edge of the New Forest. I could literally walk for 3 hours and not see another person (although probably a few ponies and cows) I also have access to really quiet beaches, even in the...

WHC Banana Split yeast and other WHC yeast

I've tried all the WHC flavoured ones and haven't been impressed. I'm quite happy with Saturated. Bought some Banana Split from TMM last week. As an aside, I've also taken advantage of their 3 for 2 again today and ordered 6 more WHC yeasts.

In my opinion - Dogs on leads.

As an aside, people talk about licences..... Since 2016, dogs have had to be microchipped by law.

In my opinion - Dogs on leads.

That's not feasible. It's taken a number of years for someone to be able to find the right land to be able to do this. They have 2 fields and it's really not cheap. Not to mention, that 2 fields for around 90,000 residents isn't really enough. All of the slots are taken up by professional dog...

When you can't let that last bit go...

Yeah, I'm the same. I just can't let it go.

Vauxhall owner to close Luton factory

I'm unsurprised. It was supposed to be closed years ago and it's been limping alone like a limping thing (I used to live nearby). Not to mention that despite having an EV, I wouldn't go near a Stellantis one. They have terrible range and they don't really seem to want to do anything about it...

    Aliexpress - Kegland Store

No, really is Kegland. Bear in mind they're Australian, so easy to use Aliexpress. I've had quite a few bits from them with no issues in the past although I just bought a hop bong via BKT because they were miles cheaper. In fact, nearly half the price in the black friday sale.

    Secret Santa 2024

I sent my details through to Alastair, but I don't have a tick. Nor do I have any details of what to do!

How many litres of home brew have you made 2024

As the above hasn't actually explained the running total, I'll add 16 litres of a heavy stout. 7,731 litres
